This Why America Can’t Have Nice Things… Like Universal Healthcare.

The Party of FDR and JFK is Dead.

“We choose to go to the Moon in this decade and do the other things, not because they are easy, but because they are hard” — JFK

“We must be prepared to move forward, in the implementation of these rights to new goals of human happiness and well-being.” — FDR on his proposed Second Bill of Rights.

Now contrast that with:

“Nothing will fundamentally change” — Joe Biden to wealthy donors.

Or

“It’s totally unrealistic and can’t be done” — Joe Biden on Medicare for All

Comparing these quotes it’s easy to see why many were disappointed with the results of Super Tuesday 2020. Though it’s hardly a done deal the results point to Democrats realigning with perhaps the least inspiring candidate of the bunch. A man who seems to put more effort into arguing what can’t be done than what is possible, a direct contrast to what the Democratic Party used…
