The inevitable has finally happened. Jimmy Donaldson, aka MrBeast, surpassed WWE’s YouTube subscriber count just after midnight EST Wednesday, December 8th 2021. He now has the 6th most subscribed channel of all time.
This follows his hugely popular, and much safer, Squid Game real-life remake. That video, which cost over $3.5 million USD to produce, in less than two weeks, has nearly surpassed his most viewed ever at — as of this writing — 156 million views.
After a record-breaking November, Jimmy is looking to hit 90 million subscribers by the end of December, which would put his channel growth at +40 million in 2021 alone. The once-chart-topping PewDiePie looks to have yet another losing challenge coming in 2022. He better be ready.
