I think part of that scrutinty comes from the taboo and the fact that men only see certain types of bodies in the media and that's what they're used to. If that changes so would expectations.

There's definetly evidence of this in certain European countries where it's more normalized. Also there's this woman's experience in North America:

But I understand it's never easy to be a trailblazer, everyone to their comfort zone. :)
